The AJ Fernandez El Pulpo Robusto Grande is a premium handmade cigar developed by Artesano del Tobacco in collaboration with master blender AJ Fernandez. Handcrafted at the San Lotano Factory in Nicaragua, this full-bodied blend showcases the richness of expertly aged tobaccos and AJ Fernandez’s renowned blending expertise.

Meaning “The Octopus” in Spanish, El Pulpo was named to reflect the way its complex flavours envelop the palate throughout the smoke. At the heart of the blend is a dark, oily Mexican San Andrés Maduro wrapper, paired with a Nicaraguan binder and carefully selected Nicaraguan fillers grown on AJ Fernandez’s own farms.

The Robusto Grande opens with bold flavours of espresso, dark cocoa and earth, followed by layers of black pepper, roasted nuts and leather. As the cigar progresses, subtle sweetness and hints of baking spice add further depth, creating a balanced and rewarding smoking experience.

The box-pressed Robusto Grande offers excellent construction, a smooth draw and an even burn, allowing the blend to develop fully over approximately one hour.
