About Sutliff Tobacco

The Sutliff Tobacco Company, established in 1849 by H.W. Sutliff in San Francisco, California, initially operated as a retail store selling cigars and pipe tobaccos. In 1933, it transitioned into manufacturing its flagship brand, “Mixture 79,” which gained significant demand throughout the 1930s and 1940s.
