The old Partagás factory, located at No. 520 Industria Street just behind the Capitol building in the heart of Havana, excites cigar lovers more than any other building in the city. Don Jaime Partagás opened the factory in 1845, and it remained operational until a few years ago. Plans are underway to transform it into a cigar museum. Although the factory is closed, the Partagás shop on the ground floor remains open and is worth a visit.

A Partagás cigar boasts a deep, earthy flavor that immediately sets it apart. Its blend derives its character from a careful selection of filler and binder tobaccos grown in the Vuelta Abajo zone, chosen for their unmistakable richness of flavor and aroma.

Partagás cigars come in various shapes and sizes, notably the Lusitania and the 8-9-8, named after its arrangement in the box. However, the most renowned Partagás cigar is perhaps the Serie D No.4, the Robusto size, which has been part of the legendary Partagás alphabet series since the 1930s.

All sizes are ‘tripa larga, totalmente a mano’—long filler, entirely handmade.
