The Blackened M81 Robusto is a bold collaboration between Jonathan Drew, Founder and President of Drew Estate, James Hetfield of Metallica, and Rob Dietrich, Master Distiller and Blender of BLACKENED American Whiskey.

Born from over a decade of friendship and a shared passion for cigars, whiskey, and craftsmanship, the Blackened M81 was developed through two years of meticulous blending and tasting sessions. The result is an uncompromising all-Maduro cigar designed for smokers who appreciate rich, dark, and full-bodied flavours.

At the heart of the blend is a thick and oily Mexican San Andrés Maduro wrapper, complemented by a Connecticut Broadleaf binder and a robust combination of Nicaraguan and Pennsylvania Broadleaf Maduro fillers. This carefully selected blend includes some of the boldest Pennsylvania Broadleaf ligero tobaccos in Drew Estate’s portfolio, creating a cigar that is deep, complex, and intensely satisfying.

Expect a powerful smoking experience with rich notes of espresso, dark chocolate, leather, toasted wood, and black pepper, balanced by a smooth draw and long, flavourful finish.
