Arturo Fuente Opus x Angel’s Share Robusto

The term “Angel’s Share” originates from the wine-making world, referring to the portion of wine that naturally evaporates from oak barrels during the aging process. Winemakers believe this lost wine is taken by guardian angels who watch over the barrels, blessing the remaining contents.

This poetic idea served as inspiration for the Angel’s Share cigar, born from a deeply emotional chapter in the Fuente family’s history. In 2012, a devastating fire destroyed several of their aging barns, consuming rare and priceless tobacco that had been carefully stored since the 1940s and ’50s. This tobacco was being reserved for a momentous occasion—the family’s 100-year anniversary. The loss was heartbreaking and left the family in deep sorrow.

But from that tragedy came a new creation. The Angel’s Share cigar symbolizes the belief that while the flames may have taken the tobacco, the angels who were drawn to its rich aroma also bestowed their blessings on the Fuente family, paving the way for future success.

The Fuente Fuente OpusX Angel’s Share is made using a wrapper from the middle priming of the tobacco plant, unlike the traditional OpusX cigars, which use the upper priming. Carlos Fuente Jr. deliberately chose this part of the plant, believing it holds the core of the tobacco’s heart and flavor.
